How much pocket change do you have lying around your home?

And how long do you wait before gathering it all and cashing it in at the bank or at coinstar?

    i always have several dollars worth it seems unless the day after
    taking it to the bank.

    i keep it in a basket and once full i exchange it or deposit it. the timeframe for this seems to be twice a year.

    Three kids in school, we usually have some around, but they go through it pretty good with sucker day, popcorn day, etc. Every once in a while I have enough left to go to the spray it yourself car wash.

    I never use coin star. We just used quite a bit in plastic eggs for the grandkids Easter egg hunt. Other than that I just keep filling banks. I would estimate $500.

    ceramic pig and get cashed in every six months to lose at the casinos. image

    Mine also ... Charles Town WV will exchange quarter rolls for bills, but none of the slots will take coins

    I have a 6 gallon water bottle that is about 3/4 full with clad coins and maybe 50 cents worth of pennies that my kids throw in every once in while. Any guesses as to how much that is?

    I'm still trying to find a bank w/ coinstar that won't charge me.

    $50 to $100.

    About once every two-months, I roll them and use them as tips for the gardeners and maintenance guys.

    $100-150, almost time to cash it in. That is what has been amassed for 2.5 years.
    MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

    I put my change in a couple of old yogurt containers (one for quarters and the other for dimes and nickels). When they get about half full, I wrap a roll and put it away - when I get about $20 in wrapped coins I deposit them in the bank.

    Change is good - it adds up fast!

    Bank? CoinStar? I've got a 16 year old daughter and a "starving" college student (21 year old girl). My change bucket (about $800-$900 in coins and a bunch of ones and fives) get raided all the time. It's their emergency money image

    Oh, and no pennies are allowed, either. They go in a seperate container.

    Probably $250-$300 in clad (not from roll hunting just change accumulation) and one of those big plastic coke bottles 3/4's filled with copper and cr@ppy zinc cents.

    $141 in nickels, 28 rolls of quarters and $89 in dimes. I ain't counting the pennies.



    OK, I didn't count any of em. I just weighed them. Cept the quarters.

    I fill a cup on my dresser, and when its full I cash it in. Depending on what goes in the vaule when cashed is somewher between $65 and $115. Cashed it in about three weeks ago, so maybe $10 bucks or so.

    Wife and I both wait tables and we usually only cash in change every few months.

    Usually when we cash in its anywhere from 250-400 bucks.

    So probably somewhere in that range currently.
    I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

    You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.
